11/1/08: Kixx Player Joins Starfinder
Angel Rivillo, a member of the Philadelphia Kixx of Major League Soccer, has joined the Starfinder team. Angel will lead sessions in our after-school model in select Philadelphia-area schools.
Angel is entering his ninth professional season, having begun his pro career playing with the Dallas Burn of Major League Soccer in 2000. While being a member of the Dallas Burn, Angel spent the rest of the 2000-2001 season in the French First Division with the Toulouse Football Club. The following year, he played in the South American League with Deportivo Tachira Football Club. He then came to Milwaukee to play with the Rampage in their A-League Championship series 2002. He had the A-League Goal of the year to propel the Rampage 3-0 over the Atlanta Silverbacks. Played with the Milwaukee Wave from 2003-2006, winning the MISL Championship in 2005, and was a USL-1 finalist with the Atlanta Silverbacks in 2007. Currently Angel is playing for the 2007 MISL Champions Philadelphia Kixx.
In addition, Angel was selected as an All-American while playing for Creighton University, where he was a computer science major.
Angel is a role mode for youngsters. His dedication to youth development, combined with his interpersonal and motivational skills, and, of course, his knowledge and passion for soccer, makes him an ideal member of the team.
