The ongoing focus on unemployment and job creation is topic number one in the national political debate. Here at Starfinder we also know first-hand the impact that a paying job has on our Senior Leader participants. For the past two summers, we have created paid internships for over 20 of our most committed participants.  Now we are ecstatic to announce a new partnership with The Hill at Whitemarsh.

In the 5^th annual C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital (Ann Arbor, Michigan) National Poll on Children’s Health, adults rate drug abuse and childhood obesity as the top health concerns and “big problems” for children.... As an organization committed to supporting the personal growth and development of young people, we are keenly aware of how these health issues have the potential to interrupt and side-track their aspirations. We are working diligently to make sure this doesn’t happen.

Over the past year all of the youth at Starfinder have been working on a mural project. Newsworks.org has recently published an article about the project and what it means to some of our Senior Leaders.  Click here to read the article.
